Biology Opportunities

SciTech is an internship program aimed at connecting STEM students to paid internships with small to mid-sized Minnesota companies. The program provides students with hands-on experience in an industry job of their potential field.

The University of Utah, Department of Medicine, Salt Lake City, is offering three different positions to interested students this Summer. The labs work in a variety of fields, all in human Biology.  Application is due Sunday March 8th.

The Hormel Institute offers a 10-week, paid summer internship program for students interested in gaining experience in research in science-related fields. The application deadline is March 1, 2020. Find more information and application materials here.

The Towsley Endowment for Student-Faculty Research provides support for work with Carleton science and math faculty over the summer. Faculty deadline to apply is 5 PM on Friday, January 31, 2020.

Receive research support to work with faculty at another institution through the Kolenkow-Reitz Fellowship. Applications for summer break fellowships are due at 5 PM on Friday, February 21, 2020.

Shannon Point Marine Center’s REU site will support guided, independent research across multiple fields of marine science, including marine microbial ecology; physiology, ecology and morphology of marine invertebrates, and environmental toxicology. The Fort Johnson Summer REU is a 10-week internship combining independent research with activities to promote career development and science communication skills focused “Resilience and Response of Marine Organisms to Environmental Change”.
