What’s Available in the QRC

If you are looking for help with numbers, from choosing the right statistics for your History paper to troubleshooting R or Tableau to creating a graph for your Biology lab report, the QRC is a great place to start! We have drop-in times and appointments available throughout the week (all times are Central Standard Time). Check out the QRC calendar or see below for more information.

  • Wednesdays 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Fridays 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

These drop-ins are good for questions about graphs, tables, and the kinds of statistics you’d read in The New York Times, whether you’re the “producer” or the “consumer”. You can also find help with your math from high school that may be pretty rusty.

Look for Lin’s QRC Office Hours or the QRC+ Data Drop-In on the QRC calendar. Click “More details” to find the Hangouts Meet link or dial-in number.

Working with Quantitative Data

Drop-In Help

These drop-ins are in place for you to get help finding data sets, evaluating credibility and fit for the project, planning how you will manage and store your data, cleaning and wrangling data, exploring data with visualizations, and preparing figures and text about your data.  Support is provided by Carleton’s data librarians, QRC director, academic technologists, and DataSquad students.

Not sure where to go? Check out the flowchart on the main page or come by the QRC+ Data Drop-In on Wednesdays for assistance!
